Pre Purchases Examinations

A standard pre purchase examination consists of a thorough physical examination followed by evaluation of the horses gait at the walk and trot.
The horse is then lunged at the trot in a small circle, (preferably on a firm surface), and then trotted and cantered in a large circle on a more forgiving surface prior to being flexed and trotted again. 
Extra tests can be performed as part of this examination in order to gain more detailed information on the horse. These may include digital x-ray and upper respiratory tract endoscopy.​
